Cel-Agro is nestled at the apex of a valley on the south side of Kerala. The farm priorities welfare and sustainability. The family’s innovation has made the farm a haven for free ranging, organic chickens, to take advantage of the temperate climate and allow them to forage and scratch around a big area. Water from a natural spring, solar panels and a biomass boiler make the farm mostly off grid, and the chicken manure is recycled in to organic compost, making the farm a regenerative enterprise. It is a member of the soil association, which upholds some of the highest organic standards in the world.
